    confirming ms access formulation statement

    Hi all,

I am about to transfer my database and sub-databases from Excel to Power Pivot. Been doing a lot of reading since simple question is very hard answer.

Found this "Power Pivot tables look similar to Excel tables, but are different in the way they work with data and with formulas:

Formulas in Power Pivot work only with tables and columns, not with individual cells, range references, or arrays." on

    http://office.microsoft.com/en-001/e...102836100.aspx

Let said I have 10 row of formula in one column. The last cell formula is the same but it longer and the IF function involve. My sub-database also have Indirect function.

Based on the above, does this mean Power Pivot can't have this?

    Please confirm.

Thank a lot for your guide, etc.

Re: confirming ms access formulation statement

A calculated column may only have one formula for all records. This is normal for database.

Your question for INDIRECT is unclear but may probably be achieved with relationships between tables.
