You need to create a gantt chart.

Start by using formula to get the dates in order. Use MATCH to get lookup positions.
The use INDEX formula to create chart data.

The chart is a simple stacked bar.
The first series is set to no fill to create the floating bar effect.

Dear sir thank you for your reply...in your bar chart same series is repeated, i want if any series named as previous series..then bar should be placed at same series..example "Embankment top" named is repeated 2 times..and at y axis "Embankment top" more than 1 time.. so my concept is series names should be onetime for repeated LABELS or names...please find one more modified required graph output..

You need to adjust the formula that builds the vertical axis labels.

If it is not a combination of the contents of columns D and E then add an extra column with required text and lookup that value.

I added a column for bar labels.
Either type the reqquired text or use a formula to build the required text.

your example does not clarify your problem.

What are the rules for the names to use? Post an example where you have manually entered the correct names and explain why.

You will need vba to build multiple stacks.

Maybe somebody else can help you out with that,
