Using a drop down list to filter graph

    Good morning.
I have a Scatter graph with 80+ columns of data. Which is too much. What I am wanting to do is filter the graph by a drop down list.

So for example the 3 columns should be under a graph called "A" the next 5 under a graph called "B" etc etc.

The number of columns that need to be shown on each graph varies and is not necessarily 1 after another.
I think the best thing is a vlookup or drop down list. But I don't even know where to start.
    Please see attached spreadsheet.
Any question let me know and I will try to clarify.

Re: Using a drop down list to filter graph

    Hmm...

There are two approaches I came up with.

    1) Transpose the data, instert a column labeled "category" and assign each chart type a category (eg, A, B, C, etc). Create a chart that takes the whole table (this will be a massive beast with 80 different types of input like you don't want). However, since charts by default ignore hidden cells, if you filter by the category column, you can force the chart to only display from the dropdown box.

    2) Create a pivot table from the data table. Create a pivot chart off the pivot table and pick the categories you want.

Well, (1) creates a massive ugly beast of a chart to start with; and since you can just copy the PT and change the selections if you want to create more than one chart, for both those reasons, I would prefer the PT.

    Anyway see attached.
