Chart Source values showing as zero in chart

    Daily Disaster Report.jpg

Hi, I have a very frustrating problem. A colleague has a dashboard which contains a number of charts. One of the charts source data is another tab in the spreadsheet. There are 5 line items and 2 of the values come from a cell reference to another spreadsheet, the remaining 3 are just numbers. The 2 cell references values show as zero on the chart. Why is this happening? There are other charts in the dashboard which use values from a spreadsheet that have Vlookup formulas and they work. Help!! Hope the attachment is there, which shows the problem

    **PROBLEM SOLVED**
I just asked an Excel guru here and she suggested put VALUE(<Cell Ref>) in front of the reference and it worked! Thought I would share the solution. If anyone has other suggestions, they are most welcome.
