Removing "(Blank)" from pivot table slicers

I am making a series of pivot tables, and due to large quantity of tables needed, am using a macro to create the pivot tables. When I recorded the macro, I deleted a blank row in hopes that "(blank)" wouldn't show up in the slicers (I did this manually for another table, and it worked). However, "(blank)" is showing up when I use the macro.

How do I get rid of a field in a pivot table slicer? Specifically all that say "(blank)".

For example, right now I have slicers that say

    MANAGER NAME
    Name 1
    Name 2
    Name 3
    (blank)

    Thanks

I generally replace all the Cells with No Data in the Source with something like "-" or something. It is better than getting that annoying (Blank). I dont thinks there is a way to plainly not have that Blank Field on your slicer.

Just one Question, Why not delete the Rows that contain "Blank" in the source data? I dont think you will be using them if you prefer not to have Blanks in your Slicer anyways?

    Cheers!

Re: Removing "(Blank)" from pivot table slicers

I am wondering if there is a way to get the "(blank)" to not show up in the slicers WITHOUT modifying the source data?

The reason I want to do this is twofold:

1.) I have about a hundred pivot tables to make, and with a deadline it would be best to not have to manually alter all the source data.

2.) Some of the source data does NOT have any blank rows that I can see, yet the "(blank)" still shows up in the slicer.

I'm wondering if the fact that I'm using a macro to create the source data worksheet is part of the problem? When I manually copy and paste the data into a spreadsheet, I do not get this problem. When I created the macro, I did delete all blank space as part of the macro, and indeed blank space doesn't show up in the worksheet created from the macro. Yet the "blank" still appears in the slicers.
