    Adding columns to pivot table

The following pivot table spreadsheet was created by someone else:
    https://imageshack.com/i/0vh7nmp
This spreadsheet was sent out to a customer and he filled all the data in the red highlighted columns: "Price in GPB without", "Price in USD without", "Price in GPB with marketing", etc... The problem I now face is that the data in the columns that were filled out by the customer do not update with the filters in the pivot table like all the other data does, for example when I filter the product column, the description, long desc, sum 2011, sum 2012, sum 2013 and grand total update accordingly but the red highlited columns do not update. Therefore, my question is, how do I add this data to the existing pivot table so that when I filter one column, the new data changes accordingly.

An actual workbook that represents what you want to solve would be much better than a picture which no one can use.

This however may help you. If the unselected items in the Pivot Table Field List are the columns that you want included in the report, drag them into the values area.

If those unselected items are not the columns you want do the following. Click in the Pivot table to have an active cell in the Pivot table. Click on the Options tab then click on Change Data Source and change the data source to include all the data that you want in the Pivot Table. Then you have to add the additional columns listed in the Pivot Table Field List to the values area.

Thank you for the reply. Please find attached a simpler version of the spreadsheet.
    data.xlsx
Could you please help me figure out how to link columns Price1, Price2,... , Price 6 to the pivot table already created.

I moved the prices to the end of the data on the other sheet then selected the total source are to be included in the Pivot Table. I don't know where the Prices belong so you can move them in the values area so that they are in the correct spots.

Re: Adding columns to pivot table

    Thank you very much.

This has solved one problem but found another. A lot of the cells in the "combined" sheet of the full spreadsheet are duplicated. To fill the data on this sheet I was going to be using VLOOKUP but this would cause big problems as it would result in the value being doubled if there are any duplicates found because the pivot table will just look at them and add them. Is there any way around this?

Without seeing the actual data (sensitive data removed) any solution would be just a guess on my part as I don't know what data is duplicated.

Re: Adding columns to pivot table

Thanks for your help, I managed to solve the issue by creating a macro which looped through the list using vlookup and as it gets the data it changes the value from where the data was obtained to 0 so that when it is next seen by the duplicate a value of 0 would be returned. When the table was then made as a pivot table the sum of the single value with all 0's resulted in just the single value being shown as required.
