I have a list of PivotTable fields that I want to group under a category so that I can use a slicer to filter out the relevant (or irrelevant) PivotTable fields. Right now, inserting a slicer only allows me to filter out specific instances of the fields that I seek to filter – this is not helpful. The problem is that I don’t know how to group these specific fields as one category, as I’ve tried to group those fields as different tables but this didn’t work – it just led me to the exact same problem.
If my problem is not clear, go to the 1:04 mark of this video:

If you look at it, he’s able to bring up specific tables with headings that then make it possible to filter our relevant PivotTable fields. I want to get to that point as right now, the fields that show up are not what I seek. If I try to pick one of the fields, it only allows me to filter our specific instances of those fields and not the fields themselves (trying to be clear, hope the problem is)
