    Offset formulas

I think I have a mental block against offset formulas because I can't get them to work even after trying all the proposed configurations from past posts. Anyway, here's what I'm trying to do:

    Item Price Supplier
    1 $50 ABC
    1 $75 DEF
    1 $100 GHI
    1 $90 JKL
    2 $20 MNO
    2 $40 PQR
    2 $60 STU
    2 $80 VWX

In another spreadsheet, I want a formula that will lookup each of the values of item 1 (col. A) one row after another, then do the same with all values corresponding to item 2 to look something like this:

    Item 1 Supplier
    $50 ABC
    $75 DEF
    $100 GHI
    $90 JKL
    etc.

I think the problem is as much syntax as anything else. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.
