Formula for Running Date and Time

I am trying to use formulas to get a date and time of an entry in an adjacent type entry.
Example
I want column A to display current date and time when an idividual name and message or note is entered.
We have visitors come from our location and we want to keep track of what they need without having to enter date and time each time someone calls.

I am shooting for a result such as
Column A [04/04/2014 09:32] followed by column B [Jennifer- blah blah, so and so and such and such]
SO I am seeking a formula for the date and time stamp
