I am trying to make an invoice log for my company. I have a workboox that contains Inovices (" April Invoices 2014") each tab is named based on the invoice number (ex: 14032001 ) I have another workbook that contains a running Log ("Invoice Log 2014"). What i would like to do is that on the log in Column H is the inovice numbers on the next 5 columns is specific data for those invocies. Name, Price, Location and so on. What i would like to do is, every time need to change or update the invocie it automaticly changes the log. Example. i open "April Invocies 2014" go to tab "14032001" update the price in cell "E56". This either through macro or forumlas, update the Invoice Log 2014. So if i scroll down to cell "H230" in the log then next to it in "M230" the price has been updated. I was trying to place a forumla in the "Log" =Filepath "&H230&"E56 (the reason for this is so it updates the proper invoice number that is contsantly changing) so everrytime i open the catering log it would ask to update and it would update each change, but i cant get this to work. I have yet to find a macro that would work either. Main problem is this is on a coumputer at work and they do not allow me to upload files. I could try to make a sample file at home, and upload it if needed. One more bit of info the invoice numbers do not run consecutively, the jump around (ie 14032001 the next is 14032101) as the invocie number is a date with a count on the end.
