I've noticed both my Day and Month function doing this:
A1 = 3/26/2014
B1 = DAY(A1).
Returns 1/26/1900.
What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Ha so simple. I appreciate it.
Please refer to help menu :Excel stores dates as sequential serial numbers so they can be used in calculations. By default, January 1, 1900 is serial number 1, and January 1, 2008 is serial number 39448 because it is 39,448 days after January 1, 1900.
So change the format to number or general. You will get the desired result.
