Vat formula

Hi, can anyone tell me what the formula is to work out Vat, I have a price in one cell and I want the total cost with 20% to show automatically in the cell next to it?

Many thanks

Re: Cat

no problem.....so what your saying is if you enter $5.31 in cell A1, you want to add 20% to that value so you would get $6.37 - because I don't know what VAT is....

Re: Vat formula

@ Ben, the OP changed the title in post # 3 instead of post # 1

@ Clive, when you change your titel, you need to do it in the very 1st thread, otherwise it will just be changed for that thread

Based on your last post it seems that you are satisfied with the solution(s) you've received but you haven't marked your thread as SOLVED. If your problem has not been solved you can use Thread Tools (located above your first post) and choose "Mark this thread as unsolved".
Thanks.

Also, as a relatively new member of the forum, you may not be aware that you can thank those who have helped you by clicking the small star icon located in the lower left corner of the post in which the help was given. By doing so you can add to the reputation(s) of those who helped.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
2. If your question is resolved, mark it SOLVED using the thread tools
3. Click on the star if you think someone helped you

Regards
Ford

Re: Vat formula

If you put $3.51 in Cell A1 and put this formula in cell B1. This assumes you want 20% on all cells.....

Towards the top of the screen, look for a "Thread Tools" drop-down, click that and select SOLVED
