Formula won't copy

Can someone please tell me why I cannot copy & paste this formula into another worksheet so that it will calculate correctly:
    =$D10-Table2[[#This Row],[BHG 6%]]

I have tried copy & paste and typing it in, cannot get it to function properly. HELP Please???

    Re: Formula won't copy

Your profile says 2003 but that looks like a Structured Table Reference from 2007 and above. Is that correct?

#This Row relates to the current row within the Table. I suspect that is the problem if you are copying it elsewhere.

It might help to understand if you post a sample workbook.

Thumbs up Re: Formula won't copy

Yes it is 2007, didn't see the option to change the version. Thank you for the info about the #This Row, the person who made this spreadsheet used some very detailed formulas when simple ones would have worked but this one I had not used before. Thanks again

    Re: Formula won't copy

Hi and welcome to the forum

I guess Im not alone in my dislike of the way excel presents structured formulas in the new "tables". More often than not, I will type the references in manually, I find them easier to see/understand that way
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

I rather like them but it a) takes some getting used to and b) makes for some hellishly long formulae
