How to do a Mail Merge With CC Email

    Hello Forum,

I've looked around a bit and cannot find information on how to make a Mail Merge with a CC email address work. I've attached an example Excel file that I am using as the source. I used a Word document to generate an email that will look something like this:

    *******************
    Leaders,

Here are the counts for the following resources as of 7 April :

    Rick Jones 40 38
    Pam Richards 55 49
    *******************

Unfortunately, only the primary email address is available on the Mail Merge, but I have a business requirement to have a CC email address on the same email. Is there another way to accomplish this?

Thank you very much for your assistance in advance.

I'd recommend this site, very helpful and goes into some detail whilst remaining straightforward:

    Hope it helps,

    Hi Kingswood,

I had the same need, and (just as TKCZBW suggested) was pointed to VB code.
So I ended up making my own tool, which I've just released for others to benefit from. Let me know if that solves your issue too: http://emailmerge.cc/

For now it just needs a plain text file (not a Word document) and the data from your Excel file.
That way you can send that email to the leaders, and CC the others that you want (and even BCC their managers, if you want to ;) )

Let me know if that helps.

    Cheers,
    Emilien

P.S.: My intent is not to dig out an older post, but to provide an easy solution to Kingswood's problem. And since there was only one answer to this post, but this page is ranked high on the search engines, I suppose others with the same problem might find this tool helpful.
