    Specific criteria MIN and MAX

    Hi all,
I'm new to the forum so hope I've followed correct protocol here. I'm trying to find a formula that allows me to automatically pull daily min, max and average values from a dataset. The part I'm struggling with is finding a formula that differentiates between the days and return a separate value. I don't want to have to go through hundreds of days and manually highlight the day's data and do a regular min, max etc.

Maybe if there was a way of doing it with multiple criteria? I've tried a few versions of this but only works if I manually select the data range.

Here's a small sample of how the data looks:

Any suggestions would be hugely appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Welcome to the forum

My first impression seeing your image and the questions you raise if if you have tried Pivot Tables
They will give you MIN, MAX and AVG of any groupings of data you need, instantly and without any manual grafting or formula design.

I highly recommend trying them if you haven't considered it yet!
    Regards,
    Rudi

Thumbs up Re: Specific criteria MIN and MAX

Brilliant! Thanks for the quick and helpful response Rudi. I didn't even think about pivot tables to do something like that. I've just had a play around with it and problem solved. Thanks again. Great forum.
