Why is Excel not rounding up a percentage of 93.5 to 94?

How have you set Excel to round?
=round (a1,0) will round it to 94. Are you sure that it's 93.5 and not 93.49, or similar?

Hi
Try the following and assuming that the data is in A1: =ROUND(A1,2).
Or Decrease Decimal on the home tab.
@ Crisp Packet....
That will not change the actual contents of the cell, only how it is displayed. Formatting is just cosmeticOr Decrease Decimal on the home tab.
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

That's why I gave them a formula first!
I have a formula that is calculating an average of a very long column of data that is averaging to 93.50, that is not rounding to 94. Am I supposed to add to my formula the "=ROUND" in order for it to round up or is there a default round up that can be set, is that what you meant when you said "how have you set Excel to round?
excel can show values rounded in 2 different ways.
1. you can set it to only show "x" decimal places. This setting can be found on the Home tab under "number" - click the .00 with the left and right arrow. This does not change the underlying value, only how it displays/shows. 93.50 can be made to show 94, but the cell still contains 93.5
2. You can use 1 of a few different ROUND functions, such as =ROUND(cell-ref,0) THis will take the contents of the cell and physically change the value (as opposed to just changing how it looks)
