Copy values based on row designation to same row designation in another sheet or file

I hope this is the correct posting category, I'm just not sure if this requires programming/VBA or not.

Basically in column A I have compound names and in column B I have lab results. The issue is that I have to add new lab results to this table. I have an excel file from the lab, with the information, but instead of going through line by line, switching windows, and copying and pasting the new values, is there a way for excel to be programmed to recognize which values are which (i.e., copy the result for “Benzene” and then paste it into a specified column in the “Benzene” row) and then do all the copying and pasting in one shot?

Any insights into how to achieve this would be greatly appreciated!

Please let me know if any further clarification is needed.

Maybe it can be done with VLookup.

A excel example, without confidential information will also be helpfull.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

    Thanks for the reply!

Here is a screen shot of what I want to copy. I want to copy the "Result" "Q" and "MDL" columns into another worksheet that is setup exactly like that one, except the compound names on the left may not all be there, may be in different order, or may contain additional compounds that the sheet I'm copying from does not contain. So I want a script/method to copy the results over to the new worksheet for all compounds (names) that match up.
