Vlookup value not working because of formula?

Im trying to use this formula to look up a date in E15 on a second sheet called Overall WOW and return the value from column 3 =VLOOKUP(E15,'Overall WOW'!$A$10:$L$62,3,FALSE) my problem is the date im looking up in column A on the lookup sheet is pulled from another source via a formula. I guess it wont recognize it as a date because its a formula? Is there a way around this?

    Thanks
    Mike

See my reply to the same question you have already asked (I answered as you marked it as solved I think). Instead of E15 you need TEXT(E15,"M/D/YY")&"*"

Yeah i thought i had it, i created the helper column with this formula =LEFT(B10,FIND("-",B10)-1) to extract the date. Im not very good in excel so im not sure what you mean by Instead of E15 you need TEXT(E15,"M/D/YY")&"*". Forgot to mention the original date in E15 is also created via using this formula =F15-7, basically a text date in f15 - 7 days. Hope that makes sense.

Mike, you have had at least 3 suggestions on your other thread. What you want to do here is pretty much an extention of that other thread, so please continue on that 1, rather than post essentially a duplicate post. I am going to close this thread now so you can continue on the other 1
    1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)
