How to add same cell to multiple different cells already containing info?

Hello there,

I'm curious how I can add H15 to multiple cells that already contain numbers already. For example A1=.71 B1=.90 C1=1.12 Then H15 = .53 and I want to add H15 to all cells?

Is this possible?

Thanks,
Lorne

Not easily via formula, but copy H15, select the cells it needs to be added to, Copy, Paste Special, Values + Add.

click H15 and press CTRL C (copy)
Highlight the range you want (A1:C1)
select Paste Special/Add
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Thanks guys,

So I did that and it added H15 value, not the actual CELL. So what I did was make all my values have an equal size before. I.E. A1 was .71 and I changed it "=.71". Then when I did paste special it added H15 to that formula. Say H15 is .53 cents it then looked like "=.71+.53". So then I did a search for "+.53" and replaced it with "+h15".

They are all looking good now

Thanks for the help!

Ok here's a bit more of a work around as I was needing to apply this to a giant document with 1000s of cells.

Here's a scenario to help explain. I have my value in A1 that I want ALL my cells to add to it's value. So let's say cells B1 to D14 all have values in them and I want to turn them into formulas to add A1 contents. In order to do this I need to make A2 my dummy cell. So A2 had "=$A$1" in it. The '=' is important. Then I copied it, did past special, selected formulas, values/add, hit ok. Viola! All cells that I highlighted (B2-D14) now equal their value and add $A$1 to them.

Now if I want to add a percentage to all the cells I just change A1 and magically watch them all change!

Hope this helps.
