trouble to find two column data and comparing other columns based on the inital column

    Hi friends

I have a scenario where I perform the formula of vlookup=vlookup and then using if the vlookup's value is true, but it does not display that value.

    Please help,

That's not enough information. Attach an example (Go Advanced>Manage Attachments) Show us where the errors are and what you would like to be there.

CSE, aka Array aka { }, formulae are confirmed with CONTROL+SHIFT+ENTER.
Replace commas ( , ) with semicolons ( ; ) in formulae, if your locale setting demands.
All good ideas are courtesy resources from this forum as well as others around the web.

Still not sure what we are doing.
So you have 2 sets of data.
Here's what I think you are asking for.
First, the first columns need to match (that gets rid of "Rick")
    Then check the second column.
The only one that matches in Col 2 is "Example" so that value (a "Y") gets put into the new cell (Like IceStation did)
Then, we move to the next col (3).
Do you want to only look in 3 if it matched in 2 or look at all of them?
