Copying Cell Value from Worksheet to Worksheet

I have a workbook with several worksheets, on one worksheet name Progress Report I have a drop down list which when I click on a line item it it should insert a description and also the date from another worksheet. I am use to using Excel 2003 and am having difficulty doing this in Excel 2010 any help would be appreciated. My work book is 1.6mb so not sure how I can upload this

The description and the date exist in another specific sheet?

In this case an INDEX & MATCH function will do the job.

You don't need to upload your original workbook. You can make a dummy workbook with the layout as same as your original workbook along with some sample data in each worksheet. Also show the desired output filled manually and then upload the workbook here.

I am trying to upload a dummy workbook but the file doesn't show up anywhere. I am using the basic uploader and it sits there loading then disappears. Any suggestions

To attach a small sample workbook.

Click on GO ADVANCED and use the paperclip icon to open the upload window.

I have never had problems uploading files before. Does his forum accept xlsx documents. Have tried the paperclip still nothing uploads
