    Question Search/Match

    Hi there,

I run a report every week with a list of 1000 different names and rankings. You can imagine a sort of Top 1000 list that every week changes. One of my functions is to search new companies that get into Top 1000 list every week. I am not interested to see difference of rankings of the same company between two weeks. What I am interested basically is to identify new companies that get into the list, the ones that were not in the last week list. The difficult part is to check whole list every week, copy and paste every name to see if they were in the last week list or not.

I want to create an excel sheet like attached one. The subject is to take the data in E2 , search the company name between B2 and B11, if the company is in the list of week 10th, type the ranking in G2, if the company is a new one which was not in the last list, type in correspondent G cell NEW. As you see some companies keep in the list and some of them drop down. [B][B]The only important thing is to identify new ones

I hope I could explain it clear enough. I highly appreciate if you guys download the attached excel sheet, take a look and let me know your opinion about possible ways to get this issue solved.

    Thanks you beforehand.

    Sincerely.

    Gokhan.

    Example Top 10.xlsx
