    If + vlookup function, fast way to copy paste?

    Hello lads!

    I am currently working in a worksheet where I am working with an if+vlookup function. Basically, it looks up a value given in the formula in another sheet and then presents a number which is to the right of that value.

    For example, in sheet one I have 6 columns. The last two, column E and F shows stock price for that month and the stock price in 3 months, respectively. In sheet two I have stock prices for given months, with column A showing stock names, B showing stock prices, C and D showing names and prices for the next month, and so on. As such I refer to that sheet.

    I attached a file to make it understandable. Essentially, I want to know why my formula fails when I try to copy paste it in other columns (such as L and M as well as S and T) for the following months. I've noticed that the formula adjusts in a wrong way, as the letters are not adjusted according to how they should be. The value just turns up as false, in other words "n" as given in the formula.

    The formula is as follows (for the first month, 2006-01);

    For column E (current price 2006-01)
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    For column F (stock price 3 months away, 2006-04)
    Formula: copy to clipboard
    Please Login or Register to view this content.

    In short, I want the two formulas, one for stock price today and 3 months ahead, to be able to be copy pasted between columns without messing up so that they adjust accordingly when I paste them in different columns.

    Thankful for any kind of help!

    Try this in column E and copied to every 7th column after that:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Try this in column F and copied to every 7th column after that:
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    Hello gek67, it worked like a charm! You are a beast!

    I've made a new thread that relates to this one, only now I have a slightly different problem. Take a look and see if you can come up with something awesome as you did just now =)

    My master thesis would be in shambles if I didn't get this kind of help here!
