Hi All,
If i have 5 names like apple,boy,cat,dog,energy
and if i enter a in a cell it should output apple in the same cell.
example: (=IF(A1="a",A1=apple,0))
can anyone tell me how to do this,

You could do list data validation for the other cell off A1:Ax

You can use Excel AutoCorrect options
Third option - you could create a worksheet_Change routine that checks for the values you want and changes the cell value if required.
Wont the change trigger the change event again though?
It shouldn't if you turn the EnableEvents to off before you do the change and back on after you are done.
