IF function for an array of cells

Hi guys,

I'm trying to figure out a function (may be an IF function) or other kinds of functions that would work.

Based on my excel spreadsheet, I either want a function where in if the word TOTAL (indicated in the sheet) appears, then the total would be the amounts below the said word.

For example,

A____B____C____D____E
1 _________Total

2 1____4____5____0____5

3 1____3____4____0____4

Column E is where the results are

Or..a function in which when the cells in between the columns with the zeroes (D2:D3) and with the numbers (i.e. cells B2:B3), the result would the middle numbers, which will go to E2:E3
