    Arrow Need to show a minus(-) value in a formula as plus(+) sign..

    Dear Experts,

    I have attached here an excel sheet with some data. I need to show the minus value in D5 as a plus sign, is there any conditional formula to work this out??

    Thanks in advance...

    Surely all you have to do is use:

    =D4-D3

    Hi...

    I have got another suggestion;please refer to the attached data table. Is there any conditional formula to change the word in D5 depending on the result of calculation of E3 and E4 to "plus" or "minus"???. If cut qty exceeds, the word should be shown as "plus" and if cut qty goes below the order qty, the the word should be "minus"..

    If you like...

    in Cell E5, put:=ABS(E4-E3)

    in cell D5, put:=IF(E4-E3>0,"Plus",IF(E4-E3<0,"Minus",""))

    How's that?
