Moving static data corresponding with dynamic data

I have a summary worksheet that references the current month's worksheet. The summary worksheet takes the current project codes from this month and displays them so faculty members can insert a forecast of hours per project code. When a new project code is added on the current month's worksheet, the summary page's project codes are updated; however, the forecasted hours that were put in by the faculty (static data) does not move in accordance with the project codes. Is there a function or combination of functions that could help me keep the static data assigned to each project code?

    Hi caseys_93

This seems do-able, but the resolution will depend on how the data is laid out. Perhaps you could upload a sample (all sensitive data removed) showing how the summary and a couple of current month's are laid out.

Re: Moving static data corresponding with dynamic data

    Alastair,
So the data with no fill on the tab "MD Forecast" is referenced from "Period 6". The data filled with yellow is manual input. I need the data in yellow to move accordingly to the labels not filled with yellow. So if a new row is inserted in Period 6, the change will show in MD Forecast. However, the manually entered data does not adjust to the change. Any ideas?
    Thank you very much,
    Casey

    Extra:
On the original document I have extra rows in column A which are empty that will fill if a new line is inserted on the Period 6 tab. I had to scale down the document a lot to fit the requirements of the forum.

    Hi Caseys_93

The attached works really well for my interpretation of your requirements. Does it work for your requirements?

Note that in MD Forecast the Week numbers are only digits - the word "Week" is supplied by number formatting.

I have put the Forecast on a separate sheet and column BK pulls through Period 6 (which I have assumed is Week 6). If this correct, you can fill the rest of the cells yourself

Let me know how far off I am in my assumptions!

    Hi Casey

Glad (but not altogether surprised ) to hear that it works.

(It's amazing how much hurt can be caused by an "actually" - it's as though you did not think I was capable of doing this )

    Regards
