    Unhappy To count multiple unique text as 1 from 5 cloumns

    Hi all

    Iam looking for a solution to count the text 'Personal care" as one in each column irrespective of its occurance in columns Monday to Friday.For example count the text 'Personal care" as one for Monday, one for Tuesday(if text is present),one for wednesday,one for Thursday and one for Friday.The final answer should be 4

    Sample text:
    Monday
    Personal care
    Personal care
    Gardener

    Tuesday
    Dinner prep

    Wednesday
    Personal care
    Personal care

    Thursday
    Personal care
    Personal care
    Shopping

    Friday
    Personal care

    I am using excel 2010
    Looking forward for your expert advices

    @kvsrinivasamurthy
    I think you don't need to enter the formula as an array formula because, in this case Sumproduct can handle the arrays. See if you get the same results when you use it as a regular formula.
