Best way to Summarize Monthly DataSet --- Functions vs. other methods ? help please ?

Good Morning all,

I receive a month Data Set that way static columns (A through O) --- but variable records results.

An example of what I would like to do in general is as follows:

Step 1 -- Remove records but leave the headers each months (copy and paste new data) since the results are cumulative with rolling data.

Step 2 - Have a Data tab & a Summary tab

Step 3 - Create on Summary page the following:

Use the data in column O (number result like 5,045) to sort Top 5 descending results.
These results have names in Columns B & C that need to be returned along with the value in column O

Example:

Column B Column C Column O

Record 1 Apple Gala 100
Record 2 Apple Granny 50
Record 3 Orange Navel 250



Desired Result:

Top 3 Results:

1 Orange Navel 250
2 Apple Gala 100
3 Apple Granny 50



I think this is clear........I am trying to do this in the best way possible, so any suggestions for pasting the future month (and removing prior month) is appreciated.,

click on the go advanced, look for attachments, click and the in the upper left hand side corner look for add files, locate yours and click submit file then return to the post are and submit.

in the data tab i dont see the month just the summarized figure, do you keep a detailed record somewhere?

There is no month or date field.....since it is cumulative results each month, i don't know if i need to identify this.... What do you think ?

I guess I can make a 2nd file with the monthly summarize pages in a YTD file
