    Rank several criteria

    Hi there,

    i attached a demo file
i have a large database which i need to sort per several Criteria - i tried many ways, and i only solved it with much complexity.
i have a list (on the left- in the file) for which i have site name, different keyword, the date, and the rank.

in the table on the right i need to sort the data per key word and date... and to show the 3 top ranking sites and their actual ranking.
of course i need to add the Key-word and date first (in a formula) and then to rank the sites.
another issue - i need to show only the top 3 and to ignore the rest of the data.

of course if you find a simple solution and needs to arrange the table on the right differently, be my guest.

i tried so many things and it just killed me.

    thank you in advanced.

    Re: Rank several criteria

    Hi atlant15,

I really don't understand what you want, but this looks like a Pivot Table with a top 3 filter to me, kind of answer. See
    http://www.contextures.com/excel-piv...ers-top10.html
for some examples of what I mean. You might need bottom instead of top if you want rank 1, 2, 3.
One test is worth a thousand opinions.

    thank you all,
VBA is not an option - its for someone in the company who barely uses excel and i don't understand it very well.

the last solution is wonderful - thank you Mysore.
