    Formula not copying down

Has anyone encountered this issue before with this formula? I'm trying to grab the last 4 characters within a cell. When I type in the formula

    =Right(F2,4)

everything works just fine, but as soon as I try to copy the formula down to the rest of the cells within the column, the result is the same as the original formula. Each time I physically enter the formula into a cell, it works, but when I try to copy it, all it does is copy the results from the cell I'm copying from. I've never had this issue before. Has anyone else?

It sounds like you have automatic calculations turned off. What happens if you press the F9 key?

    Hi ConneXionLost,
Automatic calculations were on. The file was downloaded from a sharepoint internet site. So the formatting was all screwy. I copied all of the data, opened a new worksheet and pasted values. That solved the problem.
