Hello,

I am writing an annual leave spreadsheet to process leave requests. Sample.xlsx

Each employee gets 3 bids, each made up of 4 preferences. As soon as a preference is successful within a bid, all the other preferences need to change to 0.

I have attached a copy of the workbook which some instructions, if that makes it a little bit easier to explain.

Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

Is annual leave always bid for in blocks of 3 days?
Possibly not important), but are the days applied for always contiguous?
Is it possible that someone gets less than the 3 days they applied for. For example in rows 2 - 5 is the number of available days always the same (2 in that case)?

Thanks for your response. No, the length of days that can be applied for is endless, I just used three as sample data.
