    Monthly Averageif for weekdays only

    Hi there,

Trying to use AVERAGEIF for weekdays only, but the function thinks I have 6 criteria. Basically, the sheet has not been formatted using any date data, it is just numbers 1 to 30 or 1 to 31, so when picking the range, there are 5 lots of ranges, as the weekends have to be omitted. With =AVERAGE(), you can have as much range as you want, just randomly pick cells if you want. Is there a way to do this with =AVERAGEIF(), as I need to add a condition.

Basically I want to be able to do this:

with an helpcolumn to dertermine; after that with an pivot table.

you get better help, if you add an excel file, without confidential information.

Hi, I've solved this based on the fact that there is zero for data for the weekends, it is a cheap solution, but basically I am asking if you do an =AVERAGEIF() with multiple ranges like you can with =AVERAGE().

No, with the AVERAGEIF(S) functions you can only have one range per criteria.
