How to Manage Sr # while using Filter.

Well problem is If i have a list of 100 retailers and difference sales person serve them. So when I ever i filter sale person how can i have serial numbers changed automatically. I Mean to say if guy name A have 10 retailers in a list of 100. so one I filter A and 10 retailers show up the serial should show 1 to 10 not the actual serial which i have in total. I hope you guys understand what i'm saying. Plz help.

If you have data from A1:Z100 and Serial Number Stars in Column A then
use =Subtotal(3,A$1:A1) in Cell "A1" and copy towards the end in Column A

I Have uploaded a sample file. In column A I have actual serial number which is in total 188. in column c i have retailer's names and in column d i have sales persons name. No when i filter a sales person name i get different serial number in column A. I have actual count numbers in column B. Hope you understand now.
