How do I sum only the total in various groups? I can highlight the cells to get the total but when using the sum function I get the hidden rows too. I have attached an example spreadsheet to clarify my question. Thanks iGrouping Total.xlsxn advance!

Use Subtotal() Function
=SUBTOTAL(109,B1:B12)

Hi and welcome to the forum
Instead of using SUM() for all those totals, use =SUBTOTAL(9,range)...and use for the grand total as well
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

Six, if you use 109, then the OP will get 0 when the rows are hidden. I think they want B15 to show 1500 when the rows are hidden
Ya know, 1 of these days, I will learn to read whats put in front of me LOL. Thanks for the catch, Six
