Flitering out multiple rows based on one column

I figured the filter tool would be straight forward, but for some reason when I use a column that has X's, O's, and blanks, it recognizes that the info should be filtered out, but it is only filtering out the top row of the multiple rows that the filter column is covering. How do you get a filter to filter out an entire block of rows that it covers?

Can u give us more specific details about your problem? A sample workbook (with insensitive data) explaining your problem would also be of great help.

I'll embed a PNG of a sample of the large table I am working with. The blacked out portions have sensitive data. I am trying to use the O column to filter out multiple rows that it spans across. The picture should clear up any questions.

Re: Flitering out multiple rows based on one column

Anybody have any ideas? Filtering out multiple rows based on one column?
It's currently only filtering out the upper most row, and I would much rather not merge the hundreds of columns in the sheet manually.

Can you post a sample workbook (with insensitive data) instead of images?
