Want to seperate Multiple Lines in a cell to mutiple rows

Hello,

I am brand new to this forum. Please bear with me as i am still learning. I have a challenge where in have a list of about 4000 rows and each cell have mutiple lines. ( i know there is a thread about this but that did not address my issue).

So my data is as follows - (I have attached teh sample file)

"Pari bom - GP and CFO 02547895452 [email protected]

papa bom - GP and CFO 23365789541 [email protected]

mama bom - CFO 2587412589 [email protected]

nana bom - CFO 2587412589 [email protected]

masi bom - CFO 2587412589 [email protected]

I want to be in a position to seperte each line in exclusive rows and then seperate teh name, number and the email ... the later eing easier but cant get my head around seperating the cells.

I hope sone is able to rescue me.

I would suggest the simplest way would be to

1) copy that cell full of data and paste into notepad
2) copy from the notepad back onto a new blank Excel sheet
3) Sort the results to eliminate the blank rows
4) Apply a TextToColumns against those rows to split out the data... perhaps not all at once, but in groups as best you can.

I tried to do exactly as you asked. When i bring it back in excel it pastes it again in a single cell.

Am i doing something wrong.

Not sure, the video I put up shows that copying a multiline text from notepad into Excel puts one line per row. I can't see what you're doing that might be different.

Hi Prakash,

follow JBeaucaire's advice, use MS word instead of Notepad, I tried.. its working..
