Hi all. First time posting on the board. I am working on a spreadsheet and need to have Excel compare 2 cells from my original sheet and if they are not the same, copy the contents from another related cell into the first available cell of another sheet. I've tried it with a conditional statement:
=IF('Current Master 13-14'!AK2:AK85<>'Current Master 13-14'!BC2:BC85,'Current Master 13-14'!C2:C85,"")
If I put this formula in cell A2 of a new sheet, Excel copies all of the info from rows 2-85 into cell A2 of the new sheet. If I do it so that each cell in the new sheet has it's own formula for the corresponding cell in sheet 1, then I wind up with a bunch of blank cells for all of the ones that don't meet the condition. How can I let Excel know to search for cells from AK that don't match the cell in the same row from BC and then import cell C from that row into the first available cell of column A from my new sheet while ignoring all cells from AK that do match their corresponding cell from BC? Thank you in advance for any help!
