    wildcare formula?

    hi all

    im looking to average the amount of calls we receive based on what day the calls were made.

    Attached is a copy of the table i am using.

    im looking to add up all the calls we received on a Monday and then average it for the amount of Mondays we have collected the data.

    if i haven't explained this well im sorry just reply and i will hopefully be able to explain it better

    P.S. i know this could be done by manually selecting the cells and then averaging them however this would be unsuitable as the data range is going to keep growing

    thanks

    michael

    Great idea on the Pivot Table option! Here's one that is a bit clearer and I think gets you what you're looking for. There are other ways to do this too if you're interested!

    Like this...

    K2 = Monday

    =AVERAGEIF(A:A,K2,E:E)
