Need assistance creating a formula to show the difference between two date/time

    Hi there,
I'm trying to figure out a formula to show the difference between two date and times.
The dates and times are displayed in a pivot table and filtered to show the data from another sheet.
What I'm trying to show is I have data that records the amounts of calls that my specific team take, and I'd like to show the difference in a date and time format in between the repeat calls that come back into the team.
I've used some basic formulas but they don't seem to show the day and/or time in between the calls.
I'd basically like to achieve a view that looks similar to this:

So the data in the pivot shows one call that came in 9/07/2014 10:15 and another at 11/07/2014 10:15.
The way I'd ultimately like it to display is that there was 2 days in between these two calls or else in a hour format (eg. 48hrs) would work too.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hi,

You said that you'd like to display the difference in a date and time format, however you then suggest that it is acceptable to display "2 days" or "48hrs". So which is it, as the latter aren't date and time formats.

Suppose the first date was in cell A1, and the second date in cell B1. Then to get "2 days", use
    Formula: copy to clipboard

    and to get "48hrs", use
    Formula: copy to clipboard

If you want me to look at your workbook I'm happy to, but with the information that you have provided, I can't help you any further than this I'm sorry.

    Thanks
