Excel formula returns 2014 for the letter e and 0 for the letter s

    Hi guys,
I'm a little puzzled by this one. I'm trying to use a formula to add a cell that has the month in it and add the word "forecast" to it. The cell (I2) with the date in it is Jul-14. When I do the simple formula of =I2&" forecast" it comes up as "41821 forecast". So I change the formula to =TEXT(I2,"MMM YYYY"&" forecast"). As soon as I do this, it returns the following "Jul 2014 for2014ca0t". I'm sure this is a simple answer but does anyone know why it changes the E in forecast to 2014 and the s to 0? I used the same formula but to add "Actual" instead of "forecast" and that worked fine.

Thanks in advance for your help

    What you need is

The way you had it set up it thought the 'forecast' was part of the text formatting as it was inside the brackets. The 'e' was trying to convert it to exponential format and the 's' was trying to convert it to seconds.
