Find value based on item number (first criterion) and date (second criterion)

Hi guys, it's my first post in this forum.
I've been trying to solve this for the couple of hours and I just couldn't come up with a solution, so I figured this is the place where I could find people much more experienced in Excel than myself

    So, here's the problem:
    Sales formula.xlsx

I have a list of all sales of certain item (sheet Sales), and it contains the item number and the date when the sale was made.
On the other sheet (pricelist), I have the prices of the items, and the ranges of dates from and until the prices were valid.
I am trying to assign price for each sale on first sheet (in yellow), based on the item number and the date the sale was made.

I came up with a formula using IF, AND and VLOOKUP, but it worked only until the change of price. From that point, it showed only zeros.

Hopefully it's clear enough, English is not my first language.

    Thanks in advance.
