The function of a function of a function

    Hi everyone,

I have been struggling for over 3 days for a SUM function.

    Basically,
I have a chart with 3 columns, one of them being the "TOTAL column"
This "TOTAL column" gives me the total to 2000 subtractions ranging between 1 and 300
    I have grouped them in another table (ie. <7, 8-14, 15-30, 31-60,61-120, >121)
I grouped them using the following function: =COUNT('Log Sheet'!D1981,"<=14")-COUNTIF('Log Sheet'!D1981,"<=7")

There are 2000 rows of numbers, so I wanted to get a total count for each group
Using the SUM function however it always gives me the same answer "0"

    Thank you for your help.

Can you post an example of your data as an Excel file, not a .jpg, png, etc.

PS: I would not mind getting rid of this 'grouping table' in case anyone has an idea for the direct count of the groups for the initial table.

By rewriting it for you, I just realized that it worked perfectly fine, any idea why its going wrong in the other sheet and not the new one? should I ask this in other thread?

Intermittent problems... the curse of the car, but ought not to be a problem in Excel!! Without seeing data, it's hard to tell anything.
