    Rearrange lookup table

Hello folks, it's me again, requesting some expert assistance. Maybe some of you remember from last week I was trying to get my vlookup function to work and indeed it did thanks to your input. Well, this time I realized something else was going on in my look up table in that there are multiple values for the same lookup value.
As shown in the screen capture below (yellow highlights) there are multiple parcel values under one account.
    Capture.PNG
My idea is to move each parcel value into its own unique column which I can specify in my vlookup function. So the idea is that I will end up with several parcel numbers in different columns for the same row of acct no. My issue is that I don't know how to get my look up table in that "horizontal" format as opposed to the "vertical" format in which it is at the moment.
Again I can clarify, if anything is unclear to anyone willing to help.
    Thank you.

    Re: Rearrange lookup table

Seeing your data I sugget you can find the unique values with an pivot table.
Notice my main language is not English.

I appreciate it, if you reply on my solution.

Yes that sounds like it....how do I specify that on a pivot table. I'm not too familiar with pivot tables so right now I can't figure out how to get the parcel numbers in their own columns. Any suggestions???

    Re: Rearrange lookup table

Thanks but what I needed was for the lookup table to the right to show all parcel numbers for each unique account number. I'm not sure if this is possible but I need to have for instance is a table that looks like this:

    AT10 Parcel no.1 Parcel no.2 Parcel no.3
    AT01 Parcel no.1
    AT1006 Parcel no. 1 Parcel no.2
    so on and so forth...

So that when I use the VLOOKUP function I 'll have several "Vlookup Acct. no." columns, some of which will be blank for the ones that have only 1 parcel no. associated with them.
    Hope this makes sense.

why don't you show it to us, in a small part of your excel file, without confidential information.

I'm sorry this is becoming a bit more complex than I imagined. I'm going to try and break up my data further so that I can better manage it. I'll post back in a little bit. Thanks folks.

    Re: Rearrange lookup table

Okay so hopefully the format I have attached makes a bit more sense.
What I'm trying to do is have all parcel numbers listed under the same account number to be transposed horizontally so that each parcel number is seen in its own column as Parcel 1, 2, 3 etc. The data prior to 2008 is already set up this way but I need the rest of the data to match.
I'm not sure how to quickly go about this. Note also that not all account numbers have multiple parcel number entries and that this changes from year to year (due to change in ownership etc).
    Any suggestions welcome.

    Re: Rearrange lookup table

    Hi,

Something like this? Please see the attached file. I have reduced the file size by deleting half of the raw data. You can paste the actual data into the sheet and refresh the Pivot Table.
