    Extrapolating Name from email Address

    Hi Guys

Once again I need help from the collective brain.

I have a spreadsheet with an email address in one column. This always follows the same format which is:

    [email protected]

Is there a function whereby I can create a new column that gives just the first and last name without the full stop? Example is

    Current Cell = [email protected]
    Required result fred bloggs

As always, any help is much appreciated.

    Thanks all

    TK

Thank you! Perfect. As I have over 27000 lines, this is going to save huge amount of time.

If you are going to have thousands of formulas, consider this one as well since it uses less function calls to speed up calculation times.

If there is a lot of data, one can consider also using text-to-columns in Data ribbon with separator @. And then change (Ctrl+H) dot into space in received firstname.familyname column.
