    Sumifs Using Vlookup

I need a formula that will sum an amount from a table based off a company name and if a cell is populated with the word Credit. The trick is the company name is not repeated on each row. Example below. Each category will have a dollar amount already in it and collection data is for current month only. I have attached an example spreadsheet.

    Company Category Month1 Month2 month3 Pending Col
    ABC Charge
    Payment
    Credit Needed Formula
    Debit

    ABCD Charge
    Payment
    Credit
    Debit

    AMCE Payment
    Credit
    Debit

So... for compant ABC you are expecting the formula in G4 to return $5?? or what??

Why is there no row "Charge" for Company AB?

Try this out. I have assumed that the absence of "charge" for the last company is a mistake on your part...

Are the numerical values that I have returned correct?

Actually it is not a mistake. Charges may or may not be there

That neeeds to be manually adjusted, depending on how many blank cells there are in column A after the company name; so I'm guessing it's not what's wanted...
