    Blank date field

    I need to have a total shown of a row if a certain date field is blank, I put in a date if a company has paid their bill.
    I am setting up a new page so i can easily see who still owes money
    so if in june 2013 sheet they have not got a date to show they have paid the bills i need my new sheet to show the total of the outstanding bills in that month.
    Please help

    try with isblank() formula elso pl post a sample file

    AS you can see Ryder has not paid as i dont have a date in but using the ISBLANK just shows me a true or false but i would need it to show 25.00
    is this possible?

    Please attach the file,

    To attach a file to your post,
    click "Go advanced" (next to quick post),
    scroll down until you see "manage Attachments",
    click that and select "add files" (top right corner).
    click "select files" find your file, click "open" click "upload" click 'done" bottom right. click "submit reply"

    it is the last spreadsheet that shows outstanding that i need to fill in with the details from the corresponding months before.
    hope that makes sense

    since your date are in column I and the total in column G, the formula would be

    =IF(ISBLANK(I2)=TRUE,G2,"")

    is this is wat you are looking for ?
