Need help with Table Ranking Formula and auto sort

Hi

I've created a football league table for the up and coming Championship League fixtures and have now got an issue

The Table tab should be ranked on points, then goal difference, then goals for. The problem I'm having is its not sorting automatically

Can you please help

Using a helper column (which you may choose to hide), I think I have found a solution.

Just downloaded your suggestion - how does this automatically sort itself. If you look all the teams with 3 points, the ones at rows 16,17,18 should be above the teams with 1 points

The problem with re-arranging the rows is that it screws up the formulas.

I tried turning off the auto-calculate and sorted columns C:U on Rank. Worked fine. Turn the auto-calculate back on and things get changed.

To get round this, I have produced a new page RankTable which is populated from Table. To sort, just highlight columns B:R and hit the sort button. I have fixed the dotted line after 2,6 and 20 - I hope this is correct. You can always set the "ink" to white in column B for these rows. I will leave it to you to put in the pretty colours!
