Convert a formula result to text so another formula can find that result

I have a row of formulas that put the months of the year in order for me starting from a given month.
An example of one of these is:
Formula: copy to clipboard

The answer to this formula in my current spreadsheet is 'November'. (My year starts in August)

I have another formula
Formula: copy to clipboard
Please Login or Register to view this content.
that needs to look for the cell location of 'November' but when it reads the cell it finds a numerical value instead of the text 'November'.

Is there any way that I can get a formula to look at the result of the cell that the user sees and not the formula or (in this case) the numerical answer it generates?

Hi, welcome to the forum

excel always looks at the results, not the formula. There a a number of different ways to handle this, depending in the contents of B7:Y7. Do they contains various dates within a month...always start on the 1st...always start on the last day?
1. Use code tags for VBA.
Your Code
(or use the # button)

The date in O3 can be any day within the month.

It is important that we know the actual date in O3, but I only need to know the month in B7:Y7.

I am using the EDATE formula in this range. Is there a better way?
