Removing duplicates with rules in another column

Hi all,

I am trying to remove duplicates of 'company names' from one column and tally them up to 'partner type' which is in another column. So there might be 30 non duplicate company names, 10 of those might be resellers and 20 vendors. See the attached image for clarity.

I have found a duplicate remover but I'm not sure how to apply rules to this =SUMPRODUCT((A1:A15<>"")/COUNTIF(A1:A15,A1:A15&""))

Select A2:B48,(data range).
On Data tab click Remove Duplicates
In the box check both Company name and Company Type
Press OK

Try this the only problem when referring to whole column it will take more time to calculate .

Have a problem with this caculation - these columns are seperate in the data file. Can you think of a solution?

This will done with by changing the numerical number 2 in the Formula to 3
2) When dealing with array function it is necessary to activate it using Ctrl+Shift+Enter this is apilicable to for formula in Column E
